Where to Workout – Heights
Houston is a huge city, offering tons of activities, restaurants, places to live and work. Fitness options are no different – there are so many different types of classes, studios and gyms to try out!! Some people like consistency and other like trying new routines. Whether its trying new WODS at a cross fit gym or joining a studio that offers varying workouts, the Heights area has it all. I’ve included a selection of places to check out in the Heights to work up a sweat at!
Studio Fitness – 2215 Lawrence
Offering various classes, including yoga, cycling, cross fit, barre and kick boxing, this gym provides a ton of variety for the athlete who enjoys trying different classes! Gym area also has a ton of machines, should you enjoy working out solo. This gym also has childcare on site, so bring the kiddos along while you sweat!!!

Get your Zen on at YogaOne! Hot, Warm, Flow, Inversion, with Weights, Meditation and Restore…so many options! Check their event schedule for fun happenings, such as teaching and training options or kids yoga classes!
RIDE Indoor Cycling – 548 W 19th Street
Pop next door from YogaOne to enjoy some spinning! Clip in for a 45 minute ride – you will sweat! Join for a themed ride, such as upcoming 90’s band ride on July 14th, for extra fun!
Four Dragons Institute – 427 W 20th, Suite #602
Yoga with a view! Floor to ceiling windows on the 6th floor boast a rare Birdseye view of the Heights. If you need some “Me Time”, join the Rest and Restore Yoga class on Fridays evenings. Perfect way to wind down your week and recharge your weekend!
DEFINE – 714 Yale, Suite 200
Visit the new Heights Mercantile and start your day with a class at DEFINE! Offering DEFINE Body (combines Pilates, yoga, ballet, and core strengthening), DEFINE Revolution (cycle), DEFINE Baby (workout with your little one!), DEFINE Bounce (trampoline) and of course DEFINE Yoga. Childcare options on site! DEFINE is fun to go to with friends- great places to brunch and shop after you sweat!

Speaking of sweating, if you want to sweat, Black Swan Yoga is your place! The studio offers 90 degree heated yoga classes. All classes are donation based as well!
